Captain Marvel
Since Finch and I have free Thursdays for the next few weeks, we decided to make the most of it and go to an early afternoon showing of Captain Marvel. I liked the characters and the comedy, although undersold at times, was enjoyable. The turns of the story were nice and sometimes surprising.
The basic structure of the film, though, seemed forced, almost as though this film is entirely an exposition for Avengers; End Game. On its own, this is a feel good action film, but as a part of the Marvel universe, so late in the game, it felt 'clunky'. The creators of this movie used it as a vehicle to to expand the backstories and forced it into the cannon, for better or worse.
